Ending Ultra Poverty Summit

Where: Westin Harbour Castle, Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Cost: $225 plus handling - includes conference and tall ships dinner cruise

When: 28 June 2018

Time: 8:00 to 5:00 PM

Global poverty is on the decline and together we could wipe it out in one generation.

Join us at our Ending Ultra-Poverty Summit to learn how you can be a part of this exciting movement.

This year we will be focussing on three questions:

1. Who are the ultra-poor? We will look at who are our most vulnerable and where their needs are.

 2. What tools can we use to eliminate ultra-poverty? Find out how modern thinking and technology have given us unprecedented opportunities to eliminate ultra-poverty.

 3. How can Rotarians and Rotary Clubs help the UN meet this Sustainable Development Goal? Find out how projects in The Rotary Foundation's 6 areas of focus can help end ultra-poverty.

The SDG Goals website (http://www.sdgfund.org/goal-1-no-poverty) states that: “Eradicating poverty in all its forms remains one of the greatest challenges facing humanity. While the number of people living in extreme poverty dropped by more than half between 1990 and 2015 . . . too many are still struggling for the most basic human needs”.
