RAGM Activities:
1)  Breakout Session:  Microfinance in the Developed World.  Tuesday, June 13, 2017 from 4:30 to 5:30 pm in Room A407. 

Description of Session:  Inspire attendees to "Launch" microfinance projects in their own cities with sustainable economic community development and provide a road map on how this can happen using four pillars - Networking, Mentoring, Education and Loan Capital. 

2) Annual General Meeting - will be held on Tuesday, June 13, 2017 from 5:30 to 6:00 pm in Room A407 (follows the breakout session). 

3)  House of Friendship - Booth 3022 in Exhibit Level, Building B.

1) Breakout Session - LaunchDETROIT: An Urban Microfinance Project will be held on Sunday, June 7 from 14:00 to 15:30 at Palacio das Convencoes, Modular Room 2
Description of Session: Income disparity and poverty are not confined to the developing world.  District 6400 is working to revitalize a city that's recovering from decades of jobs loss and urban decay through micro-lending, mentoring and providing networking opportunities for promising entrepreneurs.  You'll learn concepts of microfinance and economic development, and hear how LaunchDETROIT helps individuals increase their standard of living, create jobs in their communities, and build financial assets.
2) Annual General Meeting and Incoming Board Meeting - will be held on Monday, June 8 from 16:45 to 18:00 at the Holiday Inn Parque Anhemi, Ipe Branco Room.

The 6th Annual Toronto International Microfinance Summit is Canada's Premier Microfinance Event focused on domestic and international microfinance to reduce poverty.  This year, the theme is Microfinance for Social Justice:  How Can Microfinance Lead the Way?

The Rotary Clubs of Oxford County in District 7080 are sponsoring a Foundation Dinner on Thursday, May 15, 2014 at The Quality Inn & Suites in Woodstock, Ontario.  The theme of the evening 'Freedom From Want' is a focus on Microcredit (Global Successes and Local Opportunities) as a "hand up" to help those living in poverty.  The featured speakers are Ian Smillie (author of Freedom From Want), Jannalee Anderson from Opportunity International, and Betsy Wall from the Foundation for International Development Assistance.

This year marks the fifth anniversary of Toronto International Microfinance Summit Canada's premiere microfinance event.  Since inception, our goal has been to shine the light on education and meaningful issues in microfinance, one of the world's best hand up poverty reduction tools.
