Dr. Cecilia del Castillo presenting to the Calgary Microcredit Conference 2012 on October 13.

In the Philippines, 1 out of 3 people live in poverty. NWTF Inc. led by Dr. Cecilia del Castillo has been making headway in its vision and mission to reduce the incidence of poverty especially in the rural areas for the past 28 years by working with local and international partners like the Rotary, Kiva, Vittana, Whole Planet Foundation, etc.

Making use of advances in technology and developing systems and innovative products, NWTF is a recognized leader in the Philippine microfinance industry especially in the field of social performance management and providing microcredit access to the poorest.

Today, NWTF is enabling over 120,000 women clients across 7 islands in central Philippines to move themselves and their families out of poverty through its 56 branches, while providing them with more security through health services, insurance packages and other non-financial services.
