Khalid Hasan
Dr. Khalid Hasan is the Chief Operating Officer of ResInt Canada, an international research company. He is passionate about microfinance and poverty alleviation. Worked in research projects for Grameen and Brac. He is in the Executive Committee of Toronto International Microfinance Summit (TIMS). He is a senior project management and research expert of 25+ years of a unique blend of experiences spanning social and community development, media and market research, impact evaluations and business focusing North America and emerging markets in Asia. He worked as Senior Advisor South Asia for Nielsen and also led Business Process Improvement unit at Nielsen Canada. He is an experienced Six Sigma Black Belt, capable of solving problems using tools and methods of Business Process Improvement. To his credit, there are two books on marketing: Strategic Marketing Management in Asia, co-authored with Professor Saad Andaleeb, published by Emerald UK, and Marketing Practices in Developing Economy: Cases from South Asia. He wrote forty-five articles which were published in local and international journals/ magazines and he presented papers in twenty-two international conferences. He is a frequent public speaker in international seminars. He has also teaching experience in different universities and colleges in Canada and South Asia. He is an active member of Rotary International in Canada, a Paul Harris Fellow, recipient of medallions, awards, and accolades for outstanding research and social activities from a number of organizations in South Asia and Canada.
