What is RAGM?

paucasalsvpAS89PyGYIunsplash_3.jpgThe Rotary Action Group for Microfinance and Community Development is a group of Rotarians whose purpose is to provide global leadership to assist clubs and districts to participate in effective Microfinance and Community Development programs. This Rotary Action Group operates in accordance with Rotary International policy, but is not an agency of, or controlled by, Rotary International.

The Rotary Action Group for Microfinance and Community Development (RAGM) is the official microfinance vehicle of Rotarians focusing on alleviating poverty.

RAGM proudly offers, through its approximately 500 members and 1,500 e-mail circulation list, help for successful microfinance projects.

RAGM members are supported in writing articles, stories and vignettes for publication.

RAGM has co hosted microfinance conferences in Toronto, Calgary and Victoria. Please advise a member of the RAGM Board if you are interested in planning conferences to reach Rotarians around the World.

RAGM guides members in the process of gaining financial support.

RAGM members are early adapters to the suite of financial services being developed for the poor.

RAGM helps source field trips, study and employment opportunities in developing countries for Rotary members interested in getting more involved in microfinance.

In summary Rotarians use RAGM to Coordinate, Communicate, Network and find Inspiration for empowering those who are determined to rise above poverty.
